Professor Laura Shallcross
Professor Laura Shallcross represents the NIHR Research Professors on the NIHR Strategy and Engagement Board. She is Director of the UCL Institute of Health Informatics and co-lead of the NIHR UCLH/UCL BRC Computational Medicine theme.
Laura is Deputy Chair of the Government’s Scientific Advisory Committee on Antimicrobial Prescribing, Resistance and Healthcare Acquired Infection and was a member of the Scientific Advisory Committee for Emergencies Social Care Working Group during the COVID-19 pandemic. She was awarded MBE in 2021 for services to Adult Social Care during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Laura was awarded an NIHR Research Professorship in 2022.
