Research Support Service Hub delivered by the University of Leicester and Partners
Delivered by the Universities of Leicester, Lincoln, Nottingham and Loughborough, the Clinical Trials Units in Derby, Lincoln and Nottingham, and Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust, Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust and Derbyshire County Council (see Hub partners, below).
This hub gives advice on research across the full breadth of specialisms, designs, and funders. They particularly welcome teams developing translational research projects and those involving under-researched/under-represented communities, fields, or sectors.
Researchers across the partnership have wide ranging knowledge, including specialist expertise in:
- multiple long-term conditions, diabetes, and cardiovascular disease
- lifestyle, physical activity, and weight management
- ethnic health and health inequalities

This hub offers a range of flexible research support services, including:
- advice, support, and small awards for public involvement
- review and feedback on draft funding applications
- support for fellowship applications and practice interviews
- lay reviews of plain English summaries
- opportunities to collaborate with partner clinical trials units
- opportunities to collaborate with our partner research groups
