Dr Keith Couper
Dr Keith Couper is chair for the Research for Patient Benefit West Midlands regional committee.
Keith is an Associate Professor in Emergency and Critical Care, based in the Emergency, Prehospital, Perioperative and Critical Care (EPPiC) research group at Warwick Clinical Trials Unit. He continues to work clinically as a critical care outreach nurse practitioner at University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust.
Keith’s research focuses on the entire patient journey of critically ill patients from the pre-hospital setting to post-discharge care. He has a particular interest in the treatment of cardiac arrest.
Prior to becoming chair, Keith served as a member of the West Midlands committee.
