Professor David Burn
Professor Burn chairs the NIHR Translational Research Collaboration for Dementia. He is also Emeritus NIHR Senior Investigator and Director of NIHR Newcastle Health Innovation Partners Academic Health Centre.
David is Pro-Vice Chancellor of the Faculty of Medical Sciences at Newcastle University as well as being Professor of Movement Disorder Neurology and Honorary Consultant Neurologist for Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. His research has focused on dementia associated with Parkinson’s.
David is a Fellow of the Academy of Medical Sciences and has been Chair of the Northern Health Science Alliance Board since July 2018 and President of the Association of British Neurologists since May 2019.
